I am notoriously type A and have previously loved planning all my vacations myself (down to having Google sheets for each day), so I was hesitant at first to book a trip that’s all planned for me…but I am so glad I did. I had been so busy and stressed with work the month prior that I showed up literally barely even glancing at the itinerary – and it was incredible. Kook coordinated everything, from airport pickup, to the BEST travel guide, to meals, to amazing hotels. Just being able to show up and experience another country’s culture and landscape was a relaxing, exciting, and life changing experience. On the trip, I also met 16 of the most amazing people – another testament to Kooks planning. We each had enough individual time and ability to go off and have our own experiences while being able to be together and make deep connections. If you are considering going on a Kook trip, my advice would be to stop thinking about it and BOOK IT!!! Your future self will thank you.

I randomly signed up for this Guatemala trip all alone and it turned out to be the best experience of my life. Kaleigh is very caring, friendly and adjusting. Entire itinerary was neatly curated.

I went on Kook’s Guatemala trip and it was the best decision I could have ever made! The trip was six days of trying new foods, meeting new people, and challenging myself more than I ever have before. Kook provided us with a chance to grow and learn through travel and that’s exactly what I did! The itinerary was perfectly created to highlight hiking and exploring through Guatemala while making life long friends along the way. I am forever grateful for this experience and would 11/10 recommend taking Kook up on one of her wild rides, you won’t regret it!!

Kaleigh’s Guatemala Trip was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. What made this experience so special for me was meeting an incredibly genuine, supportive, and fun group of people who quickly became friends. The group was brought closer together by the collective challenge of hiking Acatenango and experiencing the awe of the summit. This group made me laugh, listen, push myself to face a challenge, and jump (literally cliff dive) knowing they’d catch me at the bottom. Kaleigh brings good people together. She takes the time to be welcoming and check-in with everyone. She’s so personable and reassuring. I came on this trip solo not knowing anyone but left having made friends. I was challenged physically and mentally to overcome fear and the limits of what I think I can do. I connected with others and am leaving this trip feeling grown, more confident in myself, and fulfilled! I am forever grateful for this trip!

Whoever said you can’t find yourself on the top of a mountain has never taken an Uncle Kook’s trip!! Kook led an unbelievable adventure through Nepal where we were deeply immersed in culture, spirituality, and nature. Traveling to Cape Town & along the Garden Route in South Africa with Kooks as our guide was nothing short of a dream. Every day felt like a new, awe inspiring adventure. Kaleigh knows how to curate a vibe and will enable you to fully immerse in what a region has to offer- from thrill seeking adventures (we went canyoneering and backpacking), indulging in local cuisine, to relaxing in the most scenic places you could ever imagine. From beginning to end, Kaleigh found us the most amazing spots, seamlessly handled logistics, and went above and beyond to make every second magical.

Booking a trip with Uncle Kook was amazing. The Nepal Himalayan adventure trip mix of Yoga, rafting, trek and Jungle safari was fantastic. Amazing views, friendly people, delicious food, the aged old culture we had so much fun. We will book another adventure with them again. Thank you for an amazing time.

I went on the 4 day Labor Day weekend trip with Uncle Kook’s, and it was truly a magical weekend! Kaleigh does a phenomenal job of incorporating nature, adventure, reflections and local food and sights into her trips. The trip was a perfect balance of organization/adherence to the schedule so we could see/do the most, while also allowing spontaneity and free time to explore, have conversations and connect with one another. I loved how each morning before leaving our campsite we started the day with a reflection, intention, quote or meditation to help us guide our experience for the day. This particular trip with Uncle Kook’s was one to remember!

I have also been on other trips with Kaleigh before the formal birth of Uncle Kook’s Wild Ride, and I cannot speak high enough of how Kaleigh makes a point to connect to the local cultures of where we are traveling, encourages us to get out of our comfort zones (Hello cliff jumping at Crater Lake!! Hello trying a local, grilled mopani worm in Zimbabwe!!), and facilitates connecting deeper with ourselves, with each other and with nature.

If you have the opportunity to go on an Uncle Kook’s adventure, you won’t regret it!!
