You will be flying into Delhi International Airport on October 28th, preferably arriving in the morning. Your return flight will depart from Cochin International Airport anytime after 4 PM on November 8th or anytime on the 9th.

Itinerary:
Kaleigh McAndrews, also known as Kook, is set to lead a special trip alongside Father Joji and his brothers, delving into the dynamic fusion of religion, culture, and nature in India. This vibrant nation stands out with its rich traditions, offering a unique and unparalleled experience. The nation is home to some of the best cuisine in the world, which we will delve into. Our expedition will traverse through three distinct Indian states, encompassing the iconic Golden Triangle, Joji’s hometown, and scenic tea plantations. A standout feature of our journey will be the participation in an event hosted by Father Jerome, Joji’s brother, near their hometown. This significant gathering is dedicated to hundreds of special needs children, promising a heartwarming and uplifting experience during our extraordinary and diverse adventure!

Throughout our journey, we’ll have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of local delicacies, each showcasing the country’s rich culinary heritage. While the options may include spicy dishes, rest assured there will always be alternatives for those who prefer milder or simpler fare. We will be embarking on the Golden Triangle tour for the initial segment of our journey, spanning four nights. Our itinerary begins with a night in Delhi, followed by a night in Agra, and culminates with two nights in Jaipur, completing the triangle. This circuit is a famous in India, renowned for its rich cultural heritage connecting three major cities. Each city offers its own unique experience, showcasing India’s diverse culture, vibrant history and outstanding landmarks.

 

Day 1: You will arrive in Delhi, airport pick up and taken to the hotel, check-in, and briefing of the itinerary, time to rest. Overnight in at hotel in Delhi.

Note that most flights arrive in the morning ensuring you have a full day to relax before we take off to see the Taj. Flying into

 

Delhi and driving to Agra is the only way to see the Taj Mahal.

Day 2: Wake up in Delhi and drive straight drive 3 hours to Agra. In the afternoon we will do a tour of the Agra Fort on the banks of the Yamuna River. Overnight at hotel in Agra. (B)

Day 3: Embark on a private sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal, followed by a return to the hotel for breakfast. After checking out, we’ll drive to Jaipur, with a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, the historical “City of Victory” and former capital of the 16th-century Mughal Empire built by Emperor Akbar. Upon reaching Jaipur in the afternoon, explore the largest city in Rajasthan, famously known as the “pink city,” renowned for its rich heritage, culture, and architecture. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the local markets, immersing ourselves in the vibrant life of the city. Overnight at hotel in Jaipur. (B)

Day 4: Explore the sights of Jaipur with a full-day city tour. Start by visiting the magnificent Amber Fort, followed by a trip to Hawa Mahal, famously known as “The Palace of Winds,” the City Palace Museum, and The Jantar Mantar Observatory. Experience a local holy ceremony at sunset in Birla Temple, immersing yourself in the cultural richness of the city. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Overnight stay in Jaipur. (B)

 

 

Day 5: After breakfast, we’ll embark on a 2-hour flight to Hyderabad, which happens to be Father Joji’s hometown. Upon arrival at the airport, we’ll be warmly welcomed by Father Joji and escorted to our hotel. Later in the evening, we’ll explore the city during a guided tour and savor an authentic meal in the company of Joji and his brother. (B, D).

Day 6: Drive with Father Joji out to the country around 3 hours to attend his brother Jeromes event that spreads awareness and kindness to hundreads of disabled children. (B, L)

 

 

 

Day 7: After our breakfast, we will join Father Joji for a Catholic Mass at the church where he underwent his seminary training. The afternoon is yours to either relax at the hotel or engage in additional sightseeing activities in Hyderabad. (B.)

 

 

 

Day 8: We will proceed to the airport to board our short, one-hour flight to the lush state of Kerala for some relaxation and exploration, famously known as “God’s Own Country.” From there, it’s just a brief home our drive to the resort in the charming town of Fort Kochi. The afternoon is yours to explore the area, visit churches, and enjoy some delightful shopping. We’ll come together for a group dinner later on. (B, D).

Day 9: This promises to be an exceptionally scenic and beautiful day as we have a day to explore the beautiful town of Fort Kochi. Fort Kochi has an abundance of cute shops and restaurants. There are a variety of churches to explore. This day is for you.

 

 

 

Day 10:  Our next destination is the enchanting region of Kerala known as Munnar. Famous for its captivating tea plantations and undulating green hills, Munnar promises a scenic retreat. We’ll be staying in a luxurious 5-star resort, offering a panoramic view of the breathtaking landscape. (B)

Day 11: We’ll dedicate a day to leisurely exploring Munnar, indulging in activities such as touring tea plantations, taking scenic lake excursions, and more. You’ll have the choice to pamper yourself with a massage or simply bask in the heavenly atmosphere of both the hotel and the lush green surroundings of this scenic region. (B, D)

 

 

 

Day 12: We will head back to the city of Cochin (around 3 hour drive) to depart on our international flights. (B).
